I wanted Gavin Newsom to run in 2004 against Iraq … he’s not perfect, by any means … but he DOES have guts and vision … he got the ball rolling with gay normalization as Mayor of San Francisco in the mid-00s … and he is the chief political sponsor of the — flawed in significant ways, but nevertheless necessary — successful Prop 64, which jump-starts the process of legal normalization of mj in California … since gay and mj normalization are the only two bright spots on the US political horizon, he needs to become Governor in 2018, and then take it to Trump in 2020 …
