I have been in favor of Gavin Newsom — for all his faults — ever since 2004, when he was vocally opposed to Iraq, and then took the first big step towards normalizing marriage equality as Mayor of SF … he was also the main political backer of mj normalization with the flawed but significant Proposition 64 that just passed … the US needs California energy …
In its search for future leaders, the Democratic Party may want to look to California, which has no shortage of rising elected officials.
